We are in for a few months of little sunlight and many people can feel mild to moderate depression otherwise called SADS. People may feel fatigue, loss of interest in normal activities, want to sleep more or crave sweets and starches. Here are some ways to deal with it:

1. Go outside for 10 to 15 minutes between 6 am and 8 am, this is the most productive time of day to get the light into your system.
2. Open your curtains as much as possible in the winter to allow the light in.
3. Get a light box from a drugstore and use for 30 minutes to two hours every day for a week and you will likely notice an improvement.
4. Check with your naturopath or herbal store for teas or other helpers for SADS.
And remember from Dec 21st onwards we start to get a couple of minutes more daylight every day :)
